Puppy Essentials! You don't need to buy every adorable dog product you see. Trust me… it's tempting! And I've learned so much from our first dog, you really don't need every cute puppy product out there! Start with the basics:
Food and water bowls
Bedding
Collar/Harness and leash- for smaller dogs I prefer a harness style to reduce risk of injury to their neck area
ID tag
Leash
High quality puppy food- stick with what the breeder used first if its a high quality food, otherwise consult your vet
Puppy pads
Safe chew toys
Age-appropriate toys
Crate or playpen
Grooming supplies
Dog-safe shampoo
Poop bags
Cleaning supplies- preferably an enzyme cleaner to eliminate odor as opposed to just masking it

And don't forget a small, comfortable carrier for those first trips to the veterinarian and future adventures.
